Dear Parents,
This is it! The "SMILESTONES" are here! I am super excited as I know our children are ready for this! Let's encourage them to do their very best no matter what! I have prepared some sweetness to let them know how much they are going to rock this test!
Please make sure your child is at school on time this week. Mrs. Elfreth and I as well as every teacher in the building that is going to administer the milestone, we will be exchanging classrooms for the Milestone. We will begin at 8:45 daily. If your child arrives after 8:45, they will not be able to take the test and will have to make it up on a later date. Thanks for your support on this!
Here are the agenda for the week:
Monday: ELA section 1 (Writing)
Tuesday: ELA section 2 & 3
Wednesday: Math Section 1
Thursday: Math Section 2
Friday: WE ARE DONE!
I will not distribute Tuesday folder in the next 2 weeks. We will be eating lunch in our classroom everyday for the next 2 weeks at 11:41am NOT 12:24pm. The following week after this week is 4th and 5th grade testing, so I would like to support them by making sure our classroom are quiet and following the testing protocols, so they can make the most out of their test.
I will continue to review heavily on reading and math. We are doing an overall review for the test. After the test, I will design various math station for the most needed area of concept that they have not mastered as well as advance 4th grade math for those kids who are ready to move on.
Let me know if you have any questions. We are presenting and wrapping our unit on Colonial America. As we are moving towards our Unit on Economics as well as Rocks/Fossils for the remaining year.
Let me know if you have any questions. Have an awesome week! :)
Sincerely,
MRS. JULIE TSAI, M.Ed.
